You don’t have to fear ticks but respect the risk and be informed! Ticks Ticks can be found all year around,  though they are most active in the warmer months.  The best prevention for a tick borne disease is to prevent a tick bite.  The risk for disease transmission from a tick bite increases after 24 hours of a tick being in the skin. Removing an embedded tick within 24 hours of its bite dramatically lowers the risk of any disease transmission, like Lyme.    Tick repellant
